How to Use Google Contacts Effectively

If you have used other email client applications, like the Hotmail, Yahoo or BlackPlanet alternatives, you know how to use Google contacts. However, what you might not be aware of are the different ways through which you can make your contacts compatible with your web applications. This is important especially if you want to get the most out of your online ventures. If your web applications are not Google-compatible, you won’t be able to take advantage of all its features.

The first and simplest way to use Google contacts is to organize your email addresses according to labels. You may have heard about the fantastic tool called Google Contacts. Google Contacts is Google’s premier contact management tool available only in its free e-mail service, Gmail, as well as part of the business-oriented suite of apps called Google Workspace. It allows you to categorize your e-mails according to the labels such as “junk mail” or “important”. And from there, you can perform a search on each of your categorized e-mails and sort them out accordingly.

If you are working on the go, you won’t have to take time out of your schedule to check your e-mails. Just pull out the sync service from your Google account and you’re good to go.

However, there are also other ways to sync your contacts as well. The simplest way to go about this is to open the Gmail account and click on “Contacts”. You’ll see a page with all your contact information, including the pictures you have taken with your camera or taken with your phone and uploaded to your Google account. Once you click on the sync button, you’ll be asked to either synchronize your entire Contacts or only the items you want to sync.

You just pull it up on your screen, look through the images, and click on the little “loading” symbol in the top-right corner. Your Google contacts will then load up and you can browse through the list of your contacts by clicking on one of the individual pictures. If you want to zoom in on a specific part of the image, you just hold the Shift key and click on the spot you want to see in the picture.

The final way to use Google contacts is using the built-in Google apps. These are basically search engines within the Google interface. With these apps, you’ll find many different things in one place, such as your latest emails, recent web pages, your estimated reading time, and even your phone’s Bluetooth capabilities. They’re a great way to take everything you know about your phone and organize it into a quick and easy to use interface for easier searching and lessening the amount of searching you have to do in order to find something.
